About Me
I started my learning and development career as an elementary school teacher, where I found a passion for creating curriculum and educating others. After spending 6 years as a classroom teacher, I transitioned into the role of instructional coach. As an instructional coach I discovered a love for adult learning theories and educating adult learners.
Following my passions, I became an instructional designer working with a wide range of clients in various industries to help them reach their goals. I have created numerous trainings spanning a wide range of topics for in-person and virtual (LMS) learning.
Beliefs:
-Training should always be engaging to foster the highest level of learning possible.
-Training purposes and learning objectives should always be shared and should be specific to the audience.
-Spacing and timing are everything! Whether it is a virtual training through an LMS or an in-person training, information should be broken up with activities, multimedia, etc. to foster comprehension.
-Training should always play to the audience while keeping the subject matter in mind. Well placed humor can be valuable but so can serious tones.
Experience:
I have extensive experience creating virtual and in-person trainings, as well as helping with process improvements and writing standard operating procedures.
Industries:
I have worked with a variety of industries including the following:
-Apparel
-Construction Firms
-Sales Organizations
-Architectural Engineering Firms
-Mechanical Engineering Firms
-Technology Solutions Companies
-Law Firms
-Irrigation Services Companies
-Digital Marketing Agencies
